Well if you’re not a certain listener who I was quite happy to meet in SL (you know who you are if you still read this, I look forward to having you on the cast by the way XD) and you don’t read the wikifur page or talk to me regularly, chances are you don’t know exactly what’s happened with Pawfect World Podcast, which also uses “pawfection” as a name in such things as emails and url’s.

So, I’m gonna tell you, right now XD

PWC is cancelled. There will never be another episode of PWC. I can assure you of that. PWC is dead. HOWEVER all hope is not lost, because from the ashes of PWC, a new show called Yeefcast is in the works. I’m still working on getting a crew together and getting everyone on skype, all the sites, servers and that shit, as well as getting a software soundboard I can operate from a keyboard or something, that’d be really nice. Any suggestions?

but yeah, Yeefcast will replace PWC and we’re hoping it’ll be a lot better in every way imaginable. I’ll make a final post here when it’s all ready to go. Until then, have a glance over at my LJ would ya’s?

Due to bandwidth issues from my ISP (bandwidth issues being that SL is suddenly added to the monthly bandwidth…DX) and with my parents needing to use skype prior to christmas, there MAY not be a new podcast until January, depending on what I’ve got left after calling my sister. Provided it can be done, the ‘cast will be recorded on my Tuesday December 23/american Monday 22 at what is midday my time with the same cohosts as last episode with the addition of AAAA.

I had really hoped to get this one up weekly but thanks to Telstra and their lies this may not happen until next year…at which point it will become weekly provided schoolwork allows XD

This week we try to pick up the slack from the last season and get some half decent news and discussion in the first half, which ran overtime by around 15 minutes. Fun is also had with dumb laws…bloody sunday-domino-playing-in-alabama HEATHENS!!! In the second half we talk about gaming censorship and how Senator Conroy must surely be a pedophile. More fun is had.

because I failed at upgrading the software XD we went down for a short while. Because of this…well I’m just not upgrading it at any time XD. Files are also down for a bit while I quarter their size and finally prepare episode 6, which is fairly out of date by now but since I’m calling the past episodes “Season 0″, with Season 1 to kick off when I’ve got the time, the cast and the new format worked out. So yes we’re going on an extended hiatus…well it’s now official anyways XDD

also, the forum went down…I’ll be installing vBulletin for another shot at that so it’ll be down for not much longer. By monday it should be back

ok I said last post I’d upload smaller versions of the cast but my internets has been worse lately and with loading a days worth of forum pages my internets was slowed to 64 kbps…an upload of approx 25 kbps. This means they will be there by approximately october 5 hopefully or within that week… apologies for any inconvenience to listeners

Still on hiatus but posting this in light of a recent comment I received. I put the podcast up at the quality I did because a) it was AHP’s default XD and b) on 64k it -streamed- just fine, which by rights it shouldn’t do but before I go to the coast for a week I will get around to re-uploading smaller versions of the episodes.

on the comments about iTunes, you’ll notice by each cast player there’s a link that says “Download”. If you don’t have itunes and it’s a bonus episode, the only thing disabled with them is -streaming-, not downloading. This does stuffall to preserve bandwidth of the site but eh XD there is no limiting of availability of this podcast (or at least not once smaller XDD) nor WILL there ever be limiting of its availability.

having pointed that out and declared that I will act on it, if an episode is down for a bit it’s because I’m replacing it XD

first, there’s a reason for the last episode not being up, being that I’ve not had the chance to edit it yet thanks to exams (which are now over XD) and that my internets has been dodgy of late.

Also due to this unpredictability of internets and seeming inability to access ADSL socket 2 on bigpond, there MAY not be a podcast this weekend…I’ll do my best to get episode 6 done and dusted and available for download before monday but I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to upload it…

Hopefully we’ll be up and running for this weekend but unless my internet stabilises no way of knowing…

in light of a recent article on furryne.ws (this one http://furryne.ws/story.php?title=Pawfect_World_Podcast ), which is probably part of how you found this site, I want ideas and suggestions on how to improve the podcast. Please, however, base these off episode 5 as that’s when we actually started to possibly get the hang of it. I know that’s the first one I actually was even remotely happy with (but with the time taken to record the other ones, I wasn’t going to redo or kill them…).

I really just want suggestions. Nothing like “give it up” “stop podcasting” or stuffs, that won’t happen. “Make it shorter” I can accept and at this rate may try given the lack of feedback anyways. I do this as a fun thing but still if there’s something I can do to improve the podcast overall then please comment with such here, be as harsh as thou may wish, just please at least -suggest- something…

Shownotes: I didn’t think I’d be able to do it with a sore throat the way I was when I woke…but this week is really the first show I’m actually happy with, we got some decent discussion and ran a trial of a new segment (serious discussion). We start off a bit dodgy because of skype issues but after that the usual “how was your week” with a bit more success. Not masses of news but we got 2 good stories from it in there, what were they? just listen XD and we got some decent discussion about stuffs and things in the first half. Dumb laws and weird news as well XD

Second Half: We -try- to have a serious discussion about the olympics…it doesn’t last long but eh. After that we end up in some semi-serious discussion about stuffs and comparing things until we run out of time…KF and AAAA both miss their outros XD
