Ok ok ok... so I do have 2772 for a total hits score (but that's with CUSes, and you don't agree with it being intended).

But, I read your "No CUS" rule for this place, and decided "Hey, I'll try this out for myself!" So, before I started this new run, I had to determine what exactly differentiates a "Lock-on" shot from a "CUS shot". The way I treated this in the run is that I had to hear the "beep" sound for a lock on, or else it'd be deemed "un-locked." Also I had to remember that CUSes are not allowed while choosing a path, therefore SY and AQ would actually be bad choices, so I did the other route "ME-KA-SX" on Main Game mode. I also omitted any extra kills gotten through checkpoint restarts, since that actually was a programmed oversight. And finally, the only retries I used were when I accidentally CUSed (once in Macbeth, and once in Area 6, so 2 in total).

Now, for the results on this run!

CO-224 (I did pretty well here, but this is a VERY hard level to optimize without CUSes; could possibly get to 240 is perfect.)
ME-413 (Pretty well executed run through here with few mistakes.)
KA-253 (EXCELLENT run for only lock ons and 3 bombs!)
SX-260 (I should have retried this, but it seemed ok. I missed alot of the big group that comes from behind)
MA-193 (Big problem here: you cannot lock on rocks. Therefore I had to treat it as illegitimate to fire charges at them, so I had to bomb them)
A6-563 (had a 300 checkpoint which was awesome, but messed up the 2nd half badly because I lacked bombs)
VE-227 (maximum score without CUSes)

Total: 2133

I thought it was an interesting approach to the game, and it could probably be improved to 2300 or so, but this run was a really quick attempt with little effort. I might try again if I'm bored.

ok and I broke 1700 today with that same path. I only got 1709. but me and Venicia [Formerly known as Jamie] ad a great time together so I call that a win.

I got a 2130 the other day.

Although I am an Ex-Star Fox 64 Highscorer who used CUS point tricks, I got sick of playing that way and decided to try the game out using no tricks which involves doubled hits, and no shooting charges at spamming spots (Rocks in Meteo, destroyed bots in Corneria, etc).

I recorded the whole thing and I plan to upload sometime soon, but I might try again and aim for 2150 or so.

Individual scores were:

CO: 228
ME: 411
KA: 230
SX: 263
MA: 200
A6: 571
VE: 227
TO: 2130

There was one question I have, and it's the clarify the CUS rule here. Because it stands for "Charged Unlocked Shot," and they're not allowed here, does that mean I can't even shoot a charged shot unless it locks onto something?

Hah, no I'm not serious about the arguments posted on the comments of his video. I was just kind of poking fun at his video because the boundaries of CUS and NON-CUS are kind of difficult to actually determine. I actually think his videos and scores are great, so you don't actually have to worry about any arguments here.

Eh, I did get a 703 Area 6 video video which is pretty sweet. Yeah yeah, it's CUSing and what-not, but despite on whether or not you agree with CUSing or not, you have to admit that it's very impressive

...Er, sorry. That run right there was satisfactory for me though, I managed to get a medal in Sector Y and Corneria in the same go, and it was my first time ever getting EITHER. ^.^

EDIT: ...And yes, I at least did this crappy run without CUS. It was Regular...T_T I FAIL AT THIS GAME! *hangs head in shame*
